Mr. Wain was born in Brooklyn and came to Cleveland in 1954 to be a deejay on the old WDOK AM. After moving around and forming a partnership with Joe Zingale and Bob Weiss, Norman Wain bought a radio station in White Plains, NY. After one year he returned to Cleveland and bought WDOK AM and FM. Transformed WDOK into WIXY 1260 which became the number one radio station in
Mr. Wain owned and operated radio stations in Dallas,
Norma Wain is a wonderful speaker and was very well received by our Wiggins Place tenants who greatly enjoyed his life story which was littered with jokes and poignant moments.
