Anne Berk honored

Wiggins Place tenant, Anne Berk, an artist and longtime supporter and docent at the Cleveland Museum of Art was honored on June 5th by the staff at the Museum for her long career of service to the arts and the museum patrons.

Anne has always enjoyed sharing her passion and love for the arts especially with young children.  She has believed that fostering an appreciation and love for art of any kind when children are young is crucial to sustaining the arts and a child's education.

Below Anne poses with the certificate she received at the ceremony.

Congratulations, Anne!

Wiggins Place B'Not MItzvah

Celebrating the accomplishments of our beloved Seniors is always a wonderful and exciting event.  On April 14, 013 we were able to celebrate and honor five extraordinary women as they became B'Not Mitzvah.  Anne Berk, Dorothy Pearl, Herta Cholfin, Lynnette Goodman and Beatrice Gray worked so hard along side Rabbi Howard Kutner to make this occasion truly special.  Family and friends from around the country came in to be a part of this remarkable event.

Thank you our Wonderful Women of Wiggins Place and Mazel Tov

Another DREAM comes true at Wiggins Place

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."
                                         Henry David Thoreau

Menorah Park is all about making the dreams of its' residents come true.  Each month the D.R.E.A.M. Team meets to discuss how they can make a resident's dream come true.  Whether this is a trip to NYC to see the Statue of Liberty, flying in a helicopter or being a VIP at an Indians night game we want to see it happen.
Wiggins Place tenant, Natalie Gelfand, wanted to go to an Indians game and we decided to not only send her to a game but to go all out.  Of course it didn't go as planned for our Home Team but Natalie was still all smiles.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing one of our tenants smile and we really enjoy knowing that we made another dream come true.

Slider stops by to welcome Natalie and help her cheer on the Indians

Of course a trip to Progressive Field wouldn't be complete without her name in lights!

Thumbs up, Natalie!

These Dreams are made possible by donations from people in our community.  Thank you for all your generosity.

Another DREAM made a reality at Menorah Park: Princess for the Day

Millie Fromet never had a birthday party as a child and she expressed a desire to have a big birthday bash complete with a big cake and pink decorations befit for a Princess.  So when Tracy Derschau, Director of Life Enrichment at Wiggins Place, heard this she knew exactly where to turn to make it happen.  The D.R.E.A.M. Team at Menorah Park works hard every day to make dreams come true for residents and tenants across the Menorah Park campus.

So the Lobby was decorated at Wiggins Place in beautiful and festive pinks.  Millie, Princess Millie for the day, had her wonderful dream fulfilled and a wonderful time was had by all.

Happy Birthday, Millie!!
